Rose State College Campus Police??

Was reviewing the FCC Database a couple of weeks ago, and noticed that
"Rose State College" has renewed their FCC License, but under the details and notes, it states that the freq., will be used to coordinate Campus Police within their facility.

At last check Burn's, now "Securatas" had the contract, but was fighting to keep it. They were about to loose the contract to "T.P.S.". Anyway the point is that they were contracting "security". Have they now updated to
"Campus Police?"

Note: Rose State College is in Midwest City, Ok.

...........On a side note. One of the other members was trying to locate the freq., for MWC Hospital Security. I have had no luck on the following freq's: 461.15000, and 451.3375. And I have sat anywhere between Wal-Mart, Target, and in the actual parking lot. No luck.

I am about to give up on this one, but I have noticed that you are in MWC. Do you know if they still have security?, and if so what freq?

Last i heard RSC is still contracting someone, not sure who, and when i was up there last they had kidss that looked 16 running around in uniform..

As far as MWC hospital, i don't know of a security freq, i live close to it and i too have not heard anything. I can ask a freind who is an EMT for MWC EMS. I do know that 461.150 is the new ch-2 repeater for EMS.

Sorry for rehashing an old thread, but I got into an argument with one of my professors last night over whether or not Rose state had peace officers or security guards. Apparently someone at the school is telling the staff that they have sworn peace officers on duty patrolling the grounds. I was quick to inform the professor that although the Rose state patrol car has POLICE on the side, the person inside was nothing more than a security guard with powers of citizens arrests. It is my understanding that when the O.S. was rewritten for school peace officers it was only for University's and not junior colleges, please correct me if I am wrong.

P.S. BTW I did notice that the security was using simplex on 451.925 for communication as well.

If not an actual law enforcement agency, it sounds like at best this place is violating some sections of CLEET's rules governing private security in our state.
