Roseland / Essex Fells Fire Dept

I'm trying to listen to Roseland fire. It's listed in the database as 158.94/PL 141.3. Every night at 6:30pm I hear Essex Fells do a nightly radio test on this frequency. I checked the database and it seems that Roseland, Caldwell, and Essex Fells all share this frequency. I never hear a radio test for Roseland or Caldwell. Do they all transmit from different places? Maybe I'm just not picking them up?

So you're saying each town broadcasts from their own tower, but on the same frequency? Just trying to determine why I only hear Essex Fells and not Roseland or Caldwell.

You said it. That is correct. There is nothing going on the Fire channel now. Last I recorded was at 18:19 today on 158.94.

I have under Essex County, Essex County Fire Mutual Aid, Caldwell, Essex Fells, North Caldwell, Roseland, West Caldwell....from the NJICS (Essex County) The two North Caldwell / Essex Fells channels, North Caldwell Fire, West Essex FAS...
That should give you EC Mutual Aid, Caldwell, EF, NC, WC and Roseland...
