So who has first hand knowledge of Roseland / Essex Fells.

A few weeks ago I noticed an update to the Database under Roseland showing a new freq 476.675 141. for their FD. I asked one person that had no knowledge of any changes.

Today, for the first time I heard a test page (from Essex Fells) which was simulcasted from/to 158.940.

Showing it as a repeater, which for Roseland is about time.

So I reported this to the admin to update the database. I have been listening to them (for many years) and they were in fact on another freq other that 158.94. It's not typical but they are on that 476.67500 freq. Seems they tone out on 158.94 but I heard them on an active incident on the 476.67500 freq.

Essex Fells or Roseland? I have always wondered how Roseland did not have a repeater but I have yet to hear them on this channel for a call, but of course I need to listen a little closer now. Boggled my mind that the DPW had a better channel.

I know Essex Fells operates on the Caldwell Fire repeater.

From where I live in West Orange I can hear Essex Fells loud and clear on 158.94 but I can never pick up Roseland on that frequency. I would have thought there would be 1 tower serving both towns but I guess not. I'll have to try 476.675 and see if I can pick up anything from here.
