I've been keeping an eye on my ProScan feed for any hits on Roselle Park Fire's low band frequency, 46.500. I've had nothing in a several months, including just a few moments ago when they went out for a careless cooking call. No tones, no dispatch, no fireground comms. Can anyone at all verify traffic on the frequency in the last 3-5 months? If not, I'll submit it for Depreciation.

Well that was popular 😂. I ran radio on autopilot yesterday. Search and record 45.xxx- 46.46. Ran 24 hours.

Not a peep. Not even Es skip. I suspect my antenna is deaf on low band.

I will give it one more 24 hour run.

I appreciate it. 99.9% sure the gear is either powered off or gone.

Been confirmed by a contact and by further observation. Depreciation for it has been submitted. And that's the final nail in the coffin of Low Band in Union County for Public Safety...

Good to hear. I confirmed Plainfield's low gear is gone also. So...yup that's it for public safety low band in Union County. As per the famous sci-fi quote: "He's dead Jim..."
