I've been back and forth as whether or not to post this, and this may wind up getting locked or shut down but I'm going to say it anyway...........
I've gotten some pretty hateful emails about my feed being up and down over the last couple weeks, and recently about there being some reception issues and the feed having some static in it. Let me address these issues.....
1 - The feed being up & down : My feed going up and down is because of the ISP that I was using. I was using Fibrant, which is a fiber optic internet service, TV, phone etc that is owned by the City of Salisbury. They have been plagued with numerous equipment issues, the main one being unreliable service. Something beyond my control. We have since moved everything to Time Warner. Problem one solved.
2 - Static in the feed: There is static in the feed is because I moved my radios and computers into a different part of the house and have not had a chance to move my antenna lines for my outside setup and thus am using an indoor antenna. As of right now I'm not sure when the outside stuff will get moved. I had back surgery in July and I'm still limited in what I can do as far as climbing and manual labor.
With that said if anyone has an issue with the way my feed sounds then the simple solution is to not listen to it. If I continue to get these hateful messages you can rest assured that I will start forwarding them to the appropriate folks here at RR and may just stop the broadcast all together. I don't want to stop it because there are quite a few people that enjoy it, and the media here uses it on a regular basis. I hate to sound like a jerk but I'm sick of people acting like that. To those that enjoy the feed maybe you can respond and try to talk some sense into those that are being hateful. And to those of you that enjoy it, thank you for listening !!
