I've been picking up a Trunking ID of 9136 for awhile, and it seems to be some police talk. Just listened to a few officers talking about their method of getting ready to arrest someone, tactics, etc. What talkgroup is this? Also, how do I convert a DEC talkgroup ID to a HEX?

You are correct in your assumption of what the TGID is used for. If you'd like I can send you a PM with what that TG is used for but it has been requested by the law enforcement agency that uses it that it not be made "public" so to speak. If you monitor it they really don't care, they just don't want anyone saying "hey, this TG is used for _______" because it is one that is used when coordinating arrests, search warrants, etc.

Marshall, are you ok with not adding this to the data base since it has been made known they really don't want it "advertised"?

In Windows Program Files, Accessories, you will find Calculator. It will convert decimal to hex.

Not exactly. The calculator will convert a decimal number to its hexidecimal equivalent. To convert that to the hex talkgroup number, drop the rightmost 0. So decimal 1280 becomes hex 500 or talkgroup 50, decimal 22096 becomes hex 5650 or talkgroup 565. (If you don't like the way it works, blame Motorola.)
