Today's Daily Record had a legal notice that Roxbury was setting aside money for a Satellite Receiver for
Radio System. I hope this will increase the audio problem ?

It shouldn't change the audio one bit if they do it right but it will help the repeater to hear mobiles/portables in a poor reception area.

So, bascially it just helps to hear in areas prone to reception problems. Thanks for the info.

They seriously need to do something with the PD and Fire channels. The audio level just totally stinks. I hate listening to them sometimes because you have to turn the scanner up louder and then when it goes back into scan and another channel comes over it blasts you out of your seat. They had a stabbing last night with a perp search and the dispatcher was having a real hard time hearing the units. thats Life Safety issue right there.

If I'm not mistaken, Roxbury runs their system (and is licensed) for low emissions. (2.5 kc) Low audio is totally normal. Try setting your receivers to narrow band.

in my HT1250 programming change the bandwith to 12.5khz? and same for my 785d, 780 and bct15 and that should fix it? .. if so that would be awesome.
