It will be exciting to see what Lindsay has in store for us when RR 4 comes online.

I know it is wayyy too late for a suggestion for RR4, but may I suggest, at some point,
re-adding the column to the Active Forum Threads on the RR Home Page
which shows which forum the new thread(s) were posted in.

i.e. Right now, you might see an Active Thread with the subject line (for example):
- LPD Shooting
or - Washington County 800 System Down, etc, etc

There are a lot of LPD's and Washington counties in the country.
It would be an ocean of help to see what forum the newest post(s) were made in.

Maybe it will be so in RR 4, if not maybe RR 5 ??

While I think your suggestion has some merit to it, I think we should use less acronyms and use a full spelled word. Same with radio codes, not everyone is aware of radio codes meanings, and some departments even use different acronyms.

Of course I have come to realize that you cannot teach a forum user anything than they already know. A good example is the number of times it has been said "do not post full copyrighted articles in the forum, rather use a lead-in and include the link to the full story." Yet, many users just blow that right off and post a full article.

Of course, the day that RR gets a copyright notice and has to shut down, those same users will be the most vocal about the "users" who lost a good deal for everybody, not stopping to think that they were that user who messed up.

Anyway, your idea has merit, maybe in a future update we'll see it.
