Partridge is about as far out as I can reach with my current antenna set up from Newton. Depending on conditions and which direction the beam is pointed, I can directly pick up ElDorado (112), Wichita 113), Mayfield (114) ,Partridge (115), and sometimes Cottonwood Falls (214) and Dexter (111). I am showing connctions on several of the towers to Towers 116, 117, 119, 120, and 122 as of about a week ago. Most of these towers seem to be west of me and I am assuming them to be Pratt, Lyons, Ellsworth, Great Bend, and others. I can't pick them up well enough to pull any data or even hear the ID callsign.
We need someone out in the Pratt or Great Bend area that has a P-25 scanner to confirm these with callsigns and to strip the data off of them. Someone west of Salina might also be able to get some of them. If you can't copy Morse Code, make a recording of it and send it to me. I can usually copy it as long as it isn't coming at 30+ WPM (like one of my nearby conventional systems does). Even someone over in Hutch should be able to identify one or two of them.....
Since I no longer work cases for the SRS in any of those counties, I no longer have a reason to travel out there anymore (you can only stare intently on a pilgrimage at the Eternal Flame at the Rice County Courthouse so many times).

I posted tower sites and frequencies to add to the KSICS page on all the newly licensed sites for western Kansas- but the RR site has never been updated with the information. KDOT has licensed towers with FCC for the rest of the system- with the exception of some towers in north central (McPherson and Ellsworth being examples).

one night i ran 96com on blue rapids tower and got a control channel of 867.1125.

Then a i just ran it again and now i am getting a control of 867.4125, the above alternate. It appears they have switched places..does anyone know why this is?
