RR Personal Profile Idea WhatsApp ?

I see on this page I can forward posts via whats app , but what about within you profile page you have that Ikon as being open to receiving chats with fellow members as another means to have one to one or groups chats etc ?
Or if you dont like whatsapp , Signal ? I would be open to having this feature

That would mean that RR would have to either have API access or implement an entire feature set to interact with the services. Both are not cheap, or extremely easy to do. All they have to do to SEND things via those services is put a URL into their public front end, RECIEVING is entirely another multiheaded monster.

I'm against this idea in its entirety.

Personally I see no need for instant messaging especially when seemingly thousands of IM platforms already exist. RR's conversations feature (some here refer to it as private messaging, PMing) serves this purpose just fine. Maybe it's just me but I too vote "no"

Or, as opposed to an API integrated system, which mentioned above by a417 would be a serious undertaking. Why not just add your social(s) to your profile’s description? That way, if someone you want to talk to, or the other way around, so desires each party can use the already displayed social(s) on your profile.
