I believe the home page database trends and statistics is wasted space. I agree the map of the US would be a much better choice.
Using the little search box in that page is confusing or doesn't work. If I want to find Hartford CT Fire Department, I can't simply type in "Hartford Fire Department" as that returns no results (nor does Hartford FD, Hartford CT FD, Hartford CT, etc). I need to know search for the name "Hartford" only, then click the County then look through the list. I even tried the exact listing for Channel Description "HartfordFire" and that didn't work.
It is a waste of effort to click the + beyond the county as all the conventional subcatagories simply link to the top of the County results. I still need to find the listing that I tried to search for. If I click on a trunk system it only brings me to the top of the page with a lot of information to sort through. I then would need to know what group of TGIDs to look in OR click "All groups" then sort by Alpha Tag (and hope it isn't abbreviated too much) OR use CTRL-F and have Windows try to find it.
A Frequency Query limits the filter to Tones. A small drop down menu with CSQ, PL, DPL, NAC, DCC, and RAN options opening to perhaps "All" or individual options would be a big improvement over DB 1.x
A new database should have improved on the searching beyond repackaging the look of it.
