You don't have to read it. It simply shows that the Wiki link in the system's hamburger menu goes to its wiki. That's all.

What's nice about modern web browsers and responsive design is that the user is easily able to increase readability using a number of settings locally rather than having the site designed around catering to curmudgeons.

You mean like this? This is so zoomed in its practically unusable on a mobile device. Every box I have to scroll left and right to see TGID and channel tag. When looking at sites I can't see site numbers and CC/ACC freqs at the same time. This ranks right up there with wiping before you sh*t, as far as usability. This is going to be terrible. Smh.

If you zoom the current db in enough on a mobile device to read it you have to scroll left and right to see everything. I’m not sure how they could make it fully viewable on a mobile device with as much info as is displayed. Is that what you’re talking about?

The comment you quoted had nothing to do with the individual entry (FiRST in this case) but the listing of Trunked systems which is right above that comment. I'm not sure how your response has anything to do with that, but whatever....Mike

Perhaps if you quoted posts when replying, people would understand what it is you're trying to say.

No you don't. I've been using RR on a mobile device for most of my years on RR, and the majority of my contributions in the past 5 years have been solely on a mobile device. The current version is MUCH more mobile-friendly than the 2.0 version that is much more compartmentalized and zoomed in so much its virtually impossible to get a larger visual of a county homepage, P25 systems, etc..

I can read this just fine. I can see Site numbers, I can see that each site has a CC freq. I can see each site has at least one ACC freq.

And I can see all of that information at a glance, without having to scroll up, down, left, and right, while also having to continually keep track of how far I have scrolled.

This V2 is a mess for what I use the site for.

Edit: The screenshot/upload is blurry on your end, but that's a result of the screenshot or sending it. It's not blurry on my end.

Mr. Blanton, first, appreciate your effort and everything you’ve done for the community. Thanks.

2.0 looks great on iPad and I’m able to navigate well. Nice.

On iPhone, I don’t care for having to scroll to left and right constantly with 2.0. On 1.0, I was able to see all content and then zoom in to what I wanted to read. Now I’m scrolling left and right a lot. It would be nice if there was a “fit to screen” functionality for those who don’t mind having to zoom. Or some other way to limit side scrolling.

I feel like the County Home Page could use a little more optimization. Trunked Radio Systems are not as intuitive to navigate to IMHO.

I like the ability to sort Conventional data by ALL, instead of GROUPED. Neat addition, I don’t recall having this in 1.0. Also, neat to be able to sort by NEW. Perhaps add a LAST - and be able to see the last update made? I like the Filter Frequencies by Service Tag too. I could see that being useful for finding important frequencies like law and fire dispatch.

That’s my feedback after the first 10 minutes of use, thanks again.

Sort by City (FCC database) a function I use a lot, is acting funny. It sorta works, but not really.

Edit: it is sorting by frequency AND City. It would be more helpful to just sort by City. Thanks.

OK so I see what you all mean about the scrolling. I still have had to do that with the current version because I have to zoom in to make it large enough to easily see but I see what you mean, 2.0 vs current.

i have a question, with the new look, will this change, how we get our frequencies, like, with free scan and ect...??

It shouldn't. This is a front-end UI update; the data on the back end isn't changing.

If I navigate to the site page of a trunking system (like this), the only "submit" choice I see is in the left side menu, leading here, where I have to go through selecting the country, state, county, system again. Previously, there was a submit button in the system page that already "knew" which system to submit for.

A second (existing) issue is that the submissions aren't site-specific in a multi-site system; the user has to remember to specify which site they are talking about in the text. Adding this field would be helpful to users and DBAs.

Issue/suggestion: Where is the change history report for a system? It would be nice to be able to see a diff of what was changed, since the DBA-entered summary of the change (understandably) doesn't usually give a complete picture.

The TRS change history report is accessible from the main system page. Those comments are automatic, they are not "DBA-entered".

Thanks. As is the system-specific submission button I see now. Doh.

On a related note, for those of us with a lot of database submissions and declining memories, it would be nice to be able to search my submissions, to avoid revisiting previously-submitted submissions.

2 things to be updated/added

1) Can we get the RFFS column added to DMR systems - it's on p25 and edacs just forgotten somehow on DMR(T3)

2) Can you make it so we're able to click the checkbox and it's label for it to be selected
Spoiler = big picture

RFSS only applies to P25 systems, not DMR or EDACS. DMR Tier III systems have a Region. The new beta interface displays the Region column for Capacity Max flavor T3 systems, but not for Standard T3 systems.

Ahh I didn't know what it was called, just that the region was missing.
The image a put up is a tier 3 dmr system.

Yeah the Region column is definitely missing for Standard T3 systems, good catch.

What exactly do you mean with your second request for a checkbox? I don't follow that one.

So in order to check that box, say you want only "new talkgroups" you have to actually click the circle instead of clicking the text or checkbox.

He's talking about radio and checkbox elements in the UI -- the text should be clickable to trigger the element. In this example, the <label> element should contain the "for" attribute. Of course, the associated form element radio would need an id attribute, which is also lacking.

I am not opposed to change as long as it is for a valid reason. I will not comment on the B version at this time. I do however want to say a loud THANK YOU for making this all possible.

Might I suggest a small mod? I am not from the USA. If I click "Browse all data" it always defaults to the map of the USA. This means I have to open up a dropdown to find my country, click, and then start drilling down for states etc. You have the MyRR settings in which you can indicate your home location country and state. Why not have the system pick up the home location country and use that to load the opening map? In the absence of a home country in myRR settings, or in the case of an enquiry when not signed in, default to the US map.
