For those who are interested the drivers for the cable work just fine with Windows 7 RC1. I am using it as my primary OS now. Microsoft is good enough to let us use it free for over a year. The Beta keys are good till 06/10. I hope this isn't already posted. I couldn't find it if so.

win7 beta/rc is not gonna tell you its time to pay. if you want win7 after the beta/rc then you buy it and install. a beta/rc is just that, a beta/rc, it has a set end date and that is that. let the guy do what he wants, he is just providing some info for others that might be interested.

It's not scuttlebutt - that's just wrong. The end dates are known. The RC is not the final product, nor does anyone expect to get the final for free.

I had no problems with any of my scanner applications when the Beta first came out at the start of the year. I was honestly quite surprised how well all my stuff worked. I've downloaded the RC but haven't installed it yet. I'm curious to see how it's evolved over the past few months.

From what I've read and understand; the Beta keys are supposed to expire in June of 2010. I'm not worried if MS shuts Win 7 early or whatever. I'm triple booting with XP & Vista.
