can someone tell me what connectors and coax cable to buy to install a radio shack 20-176 antenna to a pro-2055? also, can this antenna be used indoors (and why does it need to be grounded) ?

It will require a PL 259 connecter at the antenna and a BNC adaptor for the PL259 at the radio , depending on the distance you should use at least RG8. Yes you can use it indoor's, I have one in doors myself. As for grounded I don't really see the need if you using it indoor's, but if you mount outside then it is a good idea ( lightning, static, performance etc ).

Thanks.
OK, I found Radio Shack's 50 feet of RG-8 with PL-259 connectors at each end, so that would eliminate the need for a PL-259 adapter to the antenna, right? So i would need an adapter for the PL-259 to go to the BNC connector at the scanner, which i cannot find on the radio shack website. Would you happen to have an item number or know where i can find it? THanks a lot.
