I recently bought a used AOR 3000, although it is the same age as my son and admittedly out of fashion, the radio performs flawlessly and there is much I like about it. I would like to have computer control for programming and such, my issue is I understand the 232 signalling protocol and hardware stuff, but never got into the programming end. Can I use windows Terminal??? Would I have to write a program???? We're getting into solving for X which I was never good at.

Thank you very much for your help.

Edward, use to be software called Scancat Gold, Scancat Lite, Scancat Windows and Searchlight if I recall correctly. Google maybe your friend here. Also there was similar thread on the forum not that long ago covered your question. Good luck but I doubted very much if any of them will run on current version of Windows even in compatibility mode? Start here http://www.scancat.com/
