I have an older RS mobile scanner packed away...

It is very similar to the BC760XLT in structure, but the buttons are different. Does anyone know what the RS PRO- number was for this unit? It would take me a few days to find where it is packed.

Thanks for the help.

There are still lots of areas where digital has not reached. For example, here in Harrisburg, there are NO digital systems in the area, and the only one that is pending (Cumberland County) is OpenSky, so there is no way to monitor, even with a digital receiver. I believe Lebanon is going digital, but that is not close enough for me to pick up. I bet I could find SOMEONE who would want this thing...

Took it out, and it still works well. Wish it had CTCSS...

Thanks,

As I recall, the RS version didn't have the header strip installed to plug in the CTCSS board, even if you can find one. I used to have a 2026, and that's what I was told at the time. The CTCSS boards weren't real popular at the time, and I doubt there are many around not plugged into a 760 already. You could watch ebay, but I'd make sure it would plug into the 2026 first. Probably cheaper to buy a CTCSS/DCS-enabled scanner, such as the 2067. Use the 2026 for ham freqs, or something where having the tone isn't important.

Hello,

I just looked inside my PRO-2026 and there are no headers to plug anything "optional" into. Date code is 11A2 (November 1992). The unit still works like it did when I first bought it. Not fancy, but durable.

I've got two PRO-2026s - one of which I use on a daily basis in the car. After using it for over 11 years, it still works great! Excellent scanner!
