• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I'm trying to help a friend out who lost his PRO 2010 manual.
I did a search on this site, no luck.
By chance, does anybody have one they can either part with,
or better yet, scan in?

Thanks - Jim

Did you check the Radio Shack web site? They have or had a lot of their manuals on line in .pdf format.

RS Pro 2010 manual needed

I would like to thank everyone for helping out. I downloaded
the manual. Whoever scanned it in, used too low of a resolution,
so you kind of have to use your imagination as to what the sentences
say, but it will be useful. It would be interesting to print it to
Adobe Acrobat and then run it through OCR.

This is a very useful and valuable site, thanks everyone again -

Jim
