RS PRO 2096 Programming Issue

Hello, I bought a used PRO 2096 in great condition. I have the Win 96 Starr software and a 20-047 FTDI usb cable. When the cable is plugged in the scanner it goes into clone mode. When I click upload to scanner, the scanner says incorrect model. What is up with that? I have a PRO 2055 that I have programed many time so I kind of know what I am doing. I would be very thankful for any help with this issue. Thanks much

Win96 programs the PRO-96 and PRO-2096.


Win97 programs the PRO-97 and PRO-2055.


If you try to program the PRO-2096 with Win97 it will give an incorrect model flag.
