omg that was insane. my stomach dropped when i heard those shots fired and hear the cop say both subjects have weapons!!!

I was thinking exactly that.
The shooting two days ago had two outstanding suspects who were armed with at least one automatic weapon.
Tonights incident ended with the shooting of two suspects, one male and one female. One with an SKS, and the other with another auto type weapon.
This started when SOBOBA reservation security called RSO to report that a man known to them to be a tribal member with an address on Casitle Cyn put 12 rounds into the guard shack on Soboba Road.
Deputies arrived and looked for the suspect who was driving a black Honda with a gold bumper. When the helicopter arrived overhead he located suspect vehicle occupied by original shooter and female. The vehicle drove all over the reservation, at one point the female got out and urinated behind the vehicle.
Suspect fired at the helicopter on about 3 or 4 occassions. One shot was thought to have damaged FLIR device on chopper but later unfounded.

Uh, only INDIANS are allowed to have assualt weapons.
Seriously, I live a mile from SOBOBA and I fall alseep to the sound of automatic weapon fire frequently. As goofy as it sounds it is just something that has become "normal" sounds coming from the reservation.
On the 4th of July you get not only gunfire but a vast array of illegal fireworks going in all directions!
Several of the tribal members get $15-20 THOUSAND DOLLARS a MONTH for the simple reason that they are indians.

Tribal POLICE
The tribal police are the one's who called the "real police". They deal with minor stuff on the res and at the casino.
They drive Esclades or Yukons with red and blue CHP type light bars, but have no police powers and are required to cover the light bars when they leave the reservation.
The vehicles are clearly marked "TRIBAL POLICE" but they have security officer powers. An RSO deputy told me that the majority of them are football players from the reservation.
