Hey all, just picked up a old bc350a and the gentlemen gave me a mag mount to run for it. this unit will be for my truck. I have a 2019 4Runner. Any suggestions on how to run it?

Thanks all
Dan

How to run the cable?

Depends on how long it is. If you can route it out through the firewall, that's ideal. Running coax through doors/windows will eventually damage it. If it's temporary, avoid the temptation to roll the window up too tight on it.

Best location is on the center of the roof.

If you remove the lens for the high rear brake light you can usually find room to bring the coax inside the cab. If you have a dome light inside it may give you enough access to run a wire snake under the head liner to the rear area and grab the coax. and the same if you go under the head liner near the wind shield. Use marine grade silicone to seal the rear cable where it exits the brake light lens. get the mag mount in the center of the roof, or towards the front so you have enough slake to move the mount into the bed or stick it sideways on the rear cab if you are hauling something over the roof.
