I am brand new to this site and I do not know if this is the proper site for this message. Rural Metro Ambulance is taking over the Ambulance service in Sumter County Fl beginning Oct 1st. 2011, replacing Lake/Sumter Ems which has been serving Sumter County for the past 10 years.
I am attempting to locate the radio frequencies for Rural Metro Ambulance so I can monitor their service as I am a resident of Sumter County. If anyone can help, please advise.

This probably belongs in the regular Florida forum.

I don't know the answer to your question but I do know they use:
dpl
453.025 85.4 Rural Metro Ambulance Tac 2
453.075 85.4 Rural Metro Ambulance Tac 1 - Dispatch

In orange and some other counties. Might be a place to start.

Rural Metro will be using the current Sumter County VHF frequencies for operation, and 800mhz for the Villages.

Rural Metro Sumter is also using their Tac 3 (453.0750) to dispatch non emergency and Villages calls.
This Tac is patched with the VHF tac, which is used for all Dispatches
Rural Metro is handling all incoming 911 calls and fire/ems dispatch.

Rural Metro is on Fire Primary (VHF) for Sumter Co. Ambulances are 300 series and are on the same channel as fire departments

RMA in Sumter County is simulcasted between Sumter fire dispatch and RMA dispatch.
I am further listening to find out more.

So, 155.040 and 453.075 is dispatched together. Trying to see what else is going on.

The Fire RED,BLUE and WHITE channels are also used for multiple response(structure fires)

453.0750 is patched to VHF Primary, and used for Non Emergency Interfacility and Villages FD Calls(Also used for when RMA Orlando units move up to Sumter for coverage)

800MHz is used for Mutual Aid with surrounding counties, hospitals etc
