RWC listed simulcast site

I've heard conversational references to Simulcast D by people talking about a RWC Simulcast site. I guess that they gave up on TRWC ever rejoining and maybe decided to recycle old unused site letters.

In the RWC database, RFSS 2, Site 002 in the New River - Anthem area is what they are calling Simulcast D. Not the Mesa Simulcast D area for sure.

The link above goes to the RWC site I'm referring to.

Anthem System was created when System D was around. It has not been renamed D. No System using D at this time.

Once Black Canyon merger is all done, Black Canyon City should have a Simulcast site on Anthem System for K7. VHF the current repeater probably endup labeled B Deck.

So far Anthem system uses Mt Gillen & a site on each fire station. This has given the area near 100% coverage on trunking. VHF A4 or A10 or BCC VHF used as backup going north of Table Mesa.

I have also heard the new RWC Daisy Mountain area simulcast site referred to as "Simulcast D". I have been trying to find some documentation. You can see in the 2018 RWC Annual Report, on page 22, they list statistics for system use, and it shows "Simulcast D".

In the 2017 RWC Annual Report, on page 17, there is a paragraph about funding for a "Daisy Mountain Fire New Simulcast Zone". Page 21 of the 2017 report that has statistics for system use does not include "Simulcast D".

I am 95% sure that the site in Radio Reference named "Anthem/New River Simulcast", the RWC Admins are calling "Simulcast D". If anyone can provide some confirming documentation, I will get this updated in the DB.

You are correct, there was a single transmitter site at the Anthem Outlet Mall when the Mesa Simulcast was part of the PRWN. At that time, what is now the TRWC Mesa Simulcast, was part of the Phoenix system as Simulcast D. However, this Anthem single transmitter site became part of a 3 transmitter simulcast site for Daisy Mountain in early 2018. We think this is what is being called RWC Simulcast D today.

I believe I found confirming documentation at a RWC web site.

City of Phoenix - Maintenance

The meetings history tab has a bunch of meetings minutes.

The link below is the PDF minutes from a May 2018 RWC Board of Director's meeting. Starting at the bottom of page 4 and continuing on page 5 is what looks like a schedule for TDMA conversion and it specifically states Simulcast D (Daisy Mtn. Fire District). The other Simulcast sites are similarly matched up with a geographic area noted in parentheses in the same section.

I didn't dig through earlier published board meetings to see if that is the first reference to Simulcast D.

What's everyone think, good enough proof?
