New poster here. I live in Tucson. SDS100 scanner. When in Phoenix area I am usually in S/E or Central Phoenix. What are the recommended sites to listen to Phoenix Regional Fire? Thanks for help.
Simulcast B in Phoenix, C in Chandler and Sun Lakes, D in the Anthem and New River area north of Phoenix, F in Tempe, G in most of the West Valley, H in Scottsdale, J in Buckeye.
There's a couple of miles of overlap in most cases, so you can hear Simulcast B at least a couple of miles, if not several miles, into adjacent cities around Phoenix.
You won't hear any Fire traffic on Simulcast F, that site only carries Tempe PD Tempe city services (public works etc) and RWC Interop channels. Simulcast B, C, G, H, & J are all good depending on you location. You will also hear Fire Dispatch K1 on Sacaton Mtn, but rarely any other Fire TG.
Don't overlook the old PxFD VHF channels. Depending on where you are and what you want to listen to [ex. fireground], they are better than the 700/800 channels.

Phx FD runs two communication methods. They have a VHF A-Deck, which they use for hazard calls (i.e. anytime a suit-up is required), and a non-hazard zone K-Deck, which is best heard on Simulcast B. Some other sites might carry it like C and F, but I'm not sure. The K-Deck is used for medical emergencies. A1 and K1 (Dispatch) are patched together.
