I am trying to program a trunked frequency. I'm having trouble with figuring out which control frequency to use or if I should use one of the alternate frequencies. Aldo have having problems locating the correct DPL to use. This is for the Prince Georges County, MD agencies

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a digital system. It does not use DPL. You require a phase 2(If the talk groups are TDMA) capable digital scanner to be able to listen to this system

Even a scanner would not use a DPL for a trunking system.

If you're trying to use an APX 7000 to "scan" a Phase II system and you don't know how to set it up, your radio will most likely become inhibited by the system administrator shortly after it affiliates to the system. And you will no longer have an APX 7000. You will have a $5000.00 paper weight. Programming trunked systems on a Motorola radio is an advanced level task. Not to mention the fact that there could be legal consequences for doing so and getting caught. My suggestion to you is buy a scanner.
