These are valid and currently used in South Carolina for the I-Call and SCTAC frequencies. Most were verified during the 2008 "Bike weeks" with S.L.E.D , SCHP Special Units and others heard on them. Enjoy

Moved to the South Carolina forum. The Trunking forum is for discussion of trunking formats. Questions about regional issues such as frequencies/TG's and their use should be directed to a regional forum.

These talkgroups are all posted on the Palmetto 800 database page and are identified as this post indicates.

The SC TAC and ITAC frequencies are posted on the SC Law Enforcement Agencies page linked of the main SC database page.

This information has been posted in the database for quite some time.

And you are correct but...

yes that is correct. However the RR database does NOT have the talkgroups/hex/dec for downloading into a scanner and this post contains them all. If it is in the database then i obviously didn't realize and i apologize for re-posting. I thought some folks who didn't know about these would find them useful.

SCTAC and I-Call

In addition, the RR database lists sctac/icall together on the South Carolina page and this is incorrect. Actualkly its mislabled as "ITAC", ITAC are the channels that fall under the ICALL labeling rather than being a system of it's own. SCTAC and ICALL are two totally different systems. I use SCTAC at work and during bike weeks we use one of the ICALL tac group channels for special incidents.

Would you care to share how useful 800435 is to someone programming a scanner? While you can use 1B3 with software, I know of no one who refers to it in that way. 99% of us would refer to it as 6960.

Yes...really.

Well, i'm not a radio/scanner guru master and do not pretend to be one either however, i use that particular talkgroup in addition to the other ones listed while programming my GRE600 as well as my 396. And let me not forget its also in my 2055 and darn thats right, its also in my 996 too. I have a suggestion, why not spend some time programming your radio and/or scanner and stop with the smarty-pants "really" attitude and maybe...just maybe it'll end up in yours also. Have a nice day!

I think what Grog was trying to say is that, when posting information for the RadioReference database, it is helpful to put that contribution in a "language" people use.

Motorola's decimal format is not used in the database. The Uniden decimal format is used, and all trunk-tracking scanners will accept it for programming appropriate talkgroups.
