S portland feed ideas

Hey guys just set up a dedicated bct8 to broadcast a feed near the jet port. What would everyone like to hear from here?

A feed for Portland, South Portland, and Cape Elizabeth Police would be nice. That way those wanting to listen to one or the other would be able to choose between the two feeds that are online. Also, those wanting to listen to Fire and Police could have both feeds going.

Just a thought. Surely there are others who have ideas as well.

Well the feed is up and its a work in progress, and after some audio troubleshooting sounds good. Also the guy at radio shack was no help what so ever with selecting an audio cable. Tried to tell me the audio cable from head phone jack to line in would not work. But it does, I feel like calling them back.

Also bare with me if issues come up as i'm away from home quite a bit in the USCG.
Open to feedback on the feed, enjoy guys!

What scanner make and model are you using?

The headphone jack on the scanner will work, however there are some differences between that connection vs using the standard speaker jack on the scanner. The main difference being the audio coming from the headphone jack is intentionally made to be quieter than the speaker jack. This might not make a difference when it comes to broadcasting the scanner online, but you will notice the difference if you were using a non powered speaker on that jack.

The feed sounds good. One suggestion though, I would turn the volume down just slightly.

Just using a standard double end speaker cable coming out of a BCT-8. I also turned it down a tad, let me know.
