the new GRN on P25 Phase 1 is now partially live, control channels are changing on a regular basis, as the old Type II system is decommissioned.
although most agencies are now over on the new network, there is still activity on the old one.
SAPOL, SAAS, Hospitals, Helicopter, TSA (Transport SA), Fisheries are all encrypted.
it is possible more agencies will move to encryption at some point, there was talk that the MFS/CFS were looking at encryption, but nothing more at this stage has come to light.
