Is it me, or is the Deviation set REALLY LOW on the Sac City FD VHF simulcast transmitter.

Might be a few holdouts that use some sort of VHF Fire Pager but the VHF simulcast days are numbered. For your same reason, I've stopped monitoring the VHF Simulcast and listening more to the SRRCS P25 stream.
Completely agree. Both VHF channels, Sacramento Fire & Sac metro Fire are waaaay undermodulated.
Is it a Tait QS2 system? Those always seem to be undermodulated when managed by City IT personnel instead of radio techs.
