Hi I’m getting back into scanning after a few years away (kids definitely can impact your free time). Live in Roseville but drive all over sac sheriff/pd, folsom, Citrus Heights territory daily. I have a pro651 but can’t remember how to program it for the life of me and with the kids my time to program is limited. Looking at a sds100 but not sure if anyone knows when these will be available again? Is there someone local that programs these or is shipping it to scanner master a better bet? Is there still good traffic or are agencies moving to encrypted channels?

I have no experience with that particular radio but have you looked at the RadioReference Wiki for that radio? It also appears to be a re-branding of the Whistler 1040. It looks like there may be software to make programming easier.

I sent a PM. This is a Whistler re-branding of a GRE model. Definitely software programming is the way to go.
