But, just wondering - we know that listening to say just conventional stuff is a bit easier on the current draw than say monitoring a trunked digital system. If simulcast was not an issue, yet you still wanted an SDS regardless, I wonder if the ability to turn off smart-iq would result in extended battery life?
I'm just not sure that's even possible, or may have no bearing on battery life at all, so totally theoretical query ...
