I heard regular ISP 52 district traffic on NPSPAC TAC1 within the last several minutes. Also heard something about a patch being up between S1-T2 on MECA and NPSPAC TAC 1. Wide area trunking has been up and down. It was still up at approximately 0615, but went down shortly thereafter for Greenwood and all neighboring sites. Locally, a mix of VHF, Nextel, and single-site trunking was in use for dispatching.

Johnson County put out a broadcast at approximately 1000 that indicated everything was back to normal, and dispatching would be back on 800. Caught some IPSC traffic just after that seeming to confirm this. Seems as though the outages may be over.

Wonder what the upgrade was. Had to have something to do with the zone controller.

Hendricks County Fire just announced to all Hendricks stations and apparatus that IPSC said the system was back to normal.

yep thats what I was thinking...either an upgrade to the ZC or replacement lol

Things went pretty good for Johnson County. The post about Electrical issues at the IGC is partially correct. The Maint was performed either for them, or in that area. I really don't have all of the details.
As far as a memo going out to all agencies IPSC did exactly what they should have. For 2 weeks now we have been told this was going to happen. It's up to EACH agency to place site trunking protocols into place not the State or IPSC. Some do it and have no issues, and some choose to go back to VHF, UHF etc. A back-up unit besides the console properly programed and locked onto different towers is the best way to go. Johnson County has 4. Franklin, Greenwood, Shelby, and Mooresville towers.
