Are the SJPD changing frequencies has anyone heard ? Reason i ask is in the early morning hours between say 3-4:30 am they seem to drop out of sight no CIPIC checks no medical assistance calls for the fire department nothing just complete silence until about 7:30 or so then around 8:00 am they start the radio system checks for the fire department . Even through the day they dont seem as busy as they used to be i have seen an hour of complete silence ,
I know they have the MDB and cell phones but they dont rely on them that much never have .
Any thoughts ?

Saint John Police Force is using the same system and freqs that they have for some time now. There will continue to be fewer calls "aired" as they become more consistent with the MDBs. Urgent things will, of course, continue to be done over the air no matter what. There are still days where they can't even keep the MDBs working so we're a long ways away from the radio being completely silent...
