It seems as if Saint Paul EMS no longer uses EMRCC (TG: 2306) to call into the hospital anymore. Does anyone know if they are on a new talkgroup?

This is part of a transition to 4 MRCC talkgroups for each side of the river. This is to reduce congestion on EMRCC like they did on WMRCC like 9 years ago and also to create a template for transition to encryption.

EMRCC1 users will split into EMRCC 1 and 2.

As EMS agencies are able to, they will transition as follows:
EMRCC 1 users to EMRCC 3E
EMRCC 2 users to EMRCC 4E
WMRCC 1 users to WMRCC 3E
WMRCC 2 users to WMRCC 4E (this is already actively used)

The DB is a bit of a mess on these and I'm trying to make sense of the current channel usage. Does this look right?

Is there any rhyme or reason to when EMRCC1 is used versus EMRCC2? Something similar to WMRCC1/WMRCC2, where Hennepin EMS will split off to WMRCC2 during busy periods. From what I'm seeing, the east side looks pretty mixed right now. Anything I'm missing?

2306 - EMRCC1 (MAIN)
2307 - EMRCC2 (?)

2142 - WMRCC1 (MAIN)
2140 - WMRCC2 (Hennepin EMS)

Okay, after re-reading the original question and listening a bit more, it seems like 2307 may be intended primarily for Saint Paul Fire/Medic units, similar to the way Hennepin EMS uses WMRCC2.

Yeah, it seems like Saint Paul is exclusively using 2307, just like Hennepin EMS (and Edina) exclusively use WMRCC2. At times they will patch the WMRCC channels together though, and I would guess they would do the same for EMRCC.

Yup - based on my calls from overnight, it looks like 2306/2307 were patched from around 3:00 - 7:00 this morning.
