Salem County doesn't have an 800 MHz system, they have a 500 MHz one, and it's here in the database...

They have a Motorola Type-II system using frequencies 866.2500, 866.2250, 866.0500, 866.9125 & 868.8625. The control channel changes but is currently on 866.2500

There's something strange going on with that system because I checked the FCC Database and Salem County doesn't hold a license for any of those frequencies. According to the database, 866.2500, 866.2250 and 868.8625 aren't licensed to anyone in the state. N.J. Transit held a license for 866.0500 but it expired and Fort Lee Borough had a license for 866.9125 but it also expired. What exactly are you hearing on it? Law enforcement, fire, EMS,?

Its Salem county public saftey dispatch, from console operators to ems/police/fire. They rebanded I think 4 or 5 years ago. The 500mhz stuff I believe is used for interopability with some of the towns in Salem county.

If they rebanded this supposed 800MHz system 4-5 years ago the frequencies listed would be 15MHz lower, like when Camden city and Cherry Hill were rebanded. I'm sitting on the Gloucester/Salem county border right now and cannot copy a control channel on any of the frequencies listed or the rebanded frequencies. I can copy the Salem county 500MHz system no problem.

Oh well. I will have to wait a month or so to get the information from the radio vendor then. Thanks all.

When he stated "rebanded" I think was referring to them switching from the 500 MHz system to a 800 MHz systerm.

Anyone have talkgroup information for Salem County's 800mhz system?

None of this makes any sense - if you can hear the control channel & know the frequencies, but are asking us for talkgroup info, why aren't you listening to the system yourself?

I'm assuming you have a scanner, and that you would be able to give us talkgroup info for what you are hearing (again, assuming you own a trunktracker).

No one in NJ is licensed to run a TRS on those channels, and the nearest 800 MHz TRS's to your location (Vineland, Wilmington IR, New Castle County) do not use those frequencies at all.

If you are listening on a double-conversion receiver & not a trunking scanner, I wouldn't be too surprised if you are actually hearing images. When I head down to Millville for work tomorrow, I'll give those frequencies a listen...

There is no 800 MHz trunk system for Salem County.
Only a 500 MHz trunk system.
Without looking at the database you may be listening to NJSP or other state agencies on their trunk system.
Salem County uses one 800 frequency with a repeater for OEM.
Hopes this helps clear the confusion.
