The Rowan Amateur Radio Society is proud to present the annual “Firecracker Hamfest”. This is a fun social event with a flea market theme specializing in electronics, radios, and computers both used and new. This one day event is held in Salisbury, North Carolina at the “Salisbury Civic Center” 315 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue South, Salisbury NC 28144

This year we will have another “Home Brew” contest with three prizes. There is no entry fee or age restrictions. Also be sure to check out the “Free” used equipment test center.

Admission: $4.00 in advance $5.00 at the door
$5.00 for indoor tables, while they last…
(One (1) Outdoor Flea Market Space FREE with Paid Admission)
Pre-registration Deadline is June 20, 2010


Hamfest Hours: Doors open @ 8:00 AM
W4VEC VE Testing – 10:00 AM walk-ins only!
Talk-in: 145.410 (KQ1E) PL 136.5 (back up 146.52 simplex)


Food & Drink
$1.50 buys you a hot dog and a soft drink.
There will be Free coffee available to ALL Hamfest Attendees!

Dealer Setup is from 3:00 to 6:30 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Saturday.
Exhibitors renting 3 or more tables will be the club’s dinner guest Friday after setup!

Directions: In North Carolina, take I-85 to exit 76B to Salisbury. Head west towards Salisbury on E. Innes Street until you come to Martin Luther King Jr Ave South this is the Captain D’s / McDonalds’s intersection, here you will turn left onto Martin Luther King Jr Ave South. Go two blocks to find the Salisbury Civic Center – ie. Firecracker Hamfest site on your left.

Just to make it clear for anyone not from this area and wanting to attend: there is only one exit at Innes Street (Exit 76) now. If you are coming from the north of Salisbury and take exit 76, turn right on Innes Street at the bottom of the exit ramp. If you are coming from the south of Salisbury and take exit 76, turn left at the bottom of the exit ramp. There are green directional signs for Salisbury Downtown; that's the way you'll need to go.
