Same call sign

Gents-
I'm looking into getting my ham license in the near future. I already have my gmrs cracker jack box license. Will I be issued a new call sign or do I get to keep my current one? My scanning didn't find an answer to it.

The call sign format is different. Your ham call sign will be different and separate from your GMRS license. You will retain your GMRS license for use on the GMRS frequencies and you will be assigned a new license for the amateur radio service for use on those frequencies.

The licenses will be different, as was discussed, but your FRN remains the same.
