I need advice/suggestions on which software package(s) would work best for me.

My operating system is XP pro and EDACS is used in my area.
I own the following radios:
Pro95
Pro96
AOR 8200MK3
Pro 2035 w/Opto --I have probe but haven't had any luck yet.
Pro 2052

I would like to use software for both radio control and data management that includes logging the frequency hits. I would also like for the software to support more than one of my radios.

BTW, radio control will be new to me.

Thanks in advance for any help.

You cannot use PC control for either the PRO95 or the 96, as the firmware will not support it. Win95 and Win96 are your best choices for these.

If you have problems with Probe, just get on the Probe Yahoo group; I'll bet there are numerous folks there that can help.

Scan Control is likely the best for the 2052; especially so now that the newest release handles the newer firmware on some of the radios out there.

ARC8200 should be your choice for your AOR radio. I don't have direct experience with this software, but if it's anything like their other packages, it oughta work pretty well.

However, if you want a single program for all of these, Scanstar's Spectrum Commander is worth a look. I don't think that this program completly supports all the functions that Win96 does, but it does list the PRO2035 among the radios it supports. Sam Dunham is pretty good about answering questions on his email as well.
