SAME Weather Alert

As I don't live in a very active weather area I just wanted to report the events of today. I knew there were Thunderstorms heading this way and in my town that means flash flooding. I set the PSR-500 to Same Stby and I was pleased although not surprised that the SAME alert worked as advertised. The display said "Flash Flood Advisory" followed by a audible alert tone and message of the warning and Led red flashing.
Just in case anyone trying to make a decision to buy or not I just wanted to confirm this feature works.

It would be enough to wake me up during the night if I set it to warn me.

Another (perhaps easier, especially if you don't live in an area with "weather") way to test it is to set an alert for event "RWT" ("Required Weekly Test"), then put the scanner into "SAME standby" on a Wednesday morning.
