Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but figured Amateur Radio Equipment would be a good start. I just received a Samlex SEC 1223 Power supply that I purchased on *Bay, advertised as NIB (open box, never used). The price was too good (yeah, I know) to ignore!
To the point... removed from box, inserted power cord, plugged it in. First, the built in fan came on immediately, and is still running with zero load, nothing attached. Second, it is outputting 14.0v. The chassis is not warm at all. Fan is supposed to be temp controlled.
Looking now to download manual for the unit, but in the meantime, any ideas as to why the fan would be constant?
