samples drop when running rtl_test on 2 SDRs at same time; anyone experienced this?

Hello,

I am trying to set up trunk-recorder to record a P25 system, but am having decoding issues. So I decided to try just running rtl_test simultaneously on both the SDRs I am attempting to use, and I get a stream of "lost at least #### bytes" messages. Each SDR tests fine when done individually. Running rtl_test also noticeably affects the decoding rate in trunk-recorder if that's running in the background.

Has anyone run into a problem like this? I don't think it's a CPU usage issue as it doesn't look like they're being used a lot and, while the computer isn't new, I have a setup running on a PC with a much lower rated CPU.

WHAT I'M USING:
-Computer: Dell Inspiron 546
-CPU: AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 630 Processor
-Memory: 4GB
-SDRs: 2 NESDR SMArt connected via 6 foot(?) USB extension cables
-OS: Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS, with no desktop installed

I did disable USB auto suspend and increase the usbfs_memory_mb, and for trunk-recorder a heat map of the particular control channel signal looks decent.

My next plan is to try a hub instead of the extension cables, and try copying files to a USB drive while rtl_test or trunk-recorder is running and see what kind of speed I get.
