San Antonio - strong repeater on 866.0125

Two guys with country accents chit-chat as they drive down Hwy 281. Destination is 900 N Main St. Sounds like a couple of small town cops visiting San Antonio and chatting on the input frequency.

Is this a new repeater for our area?

900 N Main is the Roadway Inn. Commented that they are there while attending a 'school' and not at all impressed with the neighborhood.

I see from the RR database that the City of San Anonio has a 100 watt repeater licensed for this freq. That would explain it.

866.0125 is the national calling frequency. It is a common frequeancy for all systems.
