08-xxx in AFS mode.

also, SO is analog, they're in the same TG range.

called a friend at the news station and he says SAFD and SAPD are going nuts with high-water rescues...additional help has been called in over dispatch channels to the Texas DPS and some choppers from Austin are being called to assist in the rescues...

the rain has abated here on the NW side, but all of Bexar county is still under the "rain train".

just about every creek out there is a raging river.

oh yeah, there's also some weird "keying" sound coming out of one of the towers - not sure what that is...

Matt, you're a little late : )

12 hours after the heavy rains started, i have discerned the following:

1) at least one of the ProVoice sites failed - i think it was South Breeze
2) SAFD was using Live Oak for command at one point (4-0 directly contacted 5-0 at one point on the Live Oak site)
3) at some point, Park Police were unable to communicate with their dispatch - not sure why, just heard this from my news media contact.

other notables were that DPS helped out with various calls when the City of San Antonio got swamped with high-water rescues throughout the day, the EOC was activated and staffed for most of the day, HAMS were very active on the SARO and AARO frequencies, and AMR and BCFA were going nuts with calls as well.

it has been a VERY interesting day to say the least...

This was the first real test of the new system. Any one know how the end users thought the system did?

Mr. Hankey, do you have anymore information about the problems you listed? How long was the site down, etc.

How long was Park police not able to talk to dispatch?
