yup
2020 CA IFOG shows V7 as a 154.19 repeater with 154.28 as the input for West Mountain Region

iirc 154.19 was the Mount Baldy FD channel in the past

it might be tough to figure out if 154.19 has a VHF input channel - something tells me its not 154.28

RRDB for SBCO Fire under Regional Public Safety for 151.490 lists a Description of “Mountain (patch to 2-CMD-5)”.

Going to the San Bernardino County (P25) Trunked System under ConFire Talkgroups we find
3507 db3 D 2-CMD5 Mountains Command (Division 3, Former 8-Fire-1).

The input to 154.190 should be TG 3507 from the trunked system.
He says fingers crossed.

154.280 is definitely a misprint.
154.190 Has been used as a remote base (output) since 1979 (long before Mt. Baldy was licensed on it). That was the original "tone out" frequency for County and City stations in SBCo. I hear "mostly" radio traffic patched from P25. However, I also occasionally hear VHF squelch tail for a repeater.

Yes, V7 is 154.1900 R with an input of 154.8375. The BDC V channels are often assigned to incidents when USFS and Cal Fire are involved, for obvious reasons. USFS BDF also shows 154.1900 as BDC V18 - simplex, although that may be an error. BTW, the old Co Red freq of 154.325 is now BDC V19.

USFS needs to update for 2020.
BDC V18 is correct in the RR database... Not 154.190 anymore.
I thought that it was probably an error. Probably a moot point though, as there are only about 4 or 5 BDC freqs that are even used by USFS/Cal Fire in aid situations and BDC V18 isn't one of them. Also, Firescope Radio Communications Guidelines - 2020, has only BDC V2 and 3, and BDC A/G on their state mandatory mutual aid channel list.

According to my contacts at FIRESCOPE:
CalFire and Local FD KNG radios statewide have "all" of the BDC repeaters and tac channels. Unless they want to do a LOT of extra work, every local fire dept starts with the base CalFire KNG programming, then adds their own to the first 9 zones. The Feds, however, beat to their own drum.

What is the base Cal Fire KNG programming?

I should rephrase what I meant by "base"...
The "default" or "standard" KNG program that CalFire updates and releases to their users each year is what most FD users start with when they program their 2048 channel KNG radios.

In a simplified explanation, there is one zone for each CalFire unit in the state. Think of each county and all the essential fire mutual aid channels in their own zone. For example, CalFire San Bernardino unit uses zone 35. This zone contains all of the possible channels they'd need to function in San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono counties. Riverside unit uses zone 31, San Diego uses zone 33, etc.
