As of yesterday, August 16th, I'm no longer hearing any San Diego County 800mhz traffic. Does anyone know if any changes have been made there? Is it encrypted now or has it moved to 700Mhz. Is there some other change I have not heard about.

I'm hoping I just screwed up something on my scanner, I'd hate to lose the ability to hear our local LE.

Southern California is finally rebanding. Check 15.000 MHz lower for everything.

15 MHz lower will not work with the North Cell, they have completely new control channels.

Well, that happens sometimes. 15 mhz is a good place to start, but in some specific situations, that doesn't work.

Thanks cellbaseman! It is scanning and stopping on channels now but it is only picking up the carrier, no voice.

I have a Whistler TRX-1, Any thoughts?

For Whistler, just change from Splinter to Custom...the DEFAULT values in Custom (hit edit to view) work for fully rebanded straight out of the box.

For Uniden, enter the new control channels (853.4125 south, 856.9125 north, add the secondary CC's also) and change the system/site type from Splinter to Motorola Type II Standard.

Thanks again celbaseman! It's scanning correctly and picking up voice now.

Anderegg, on my Whistler TRX-1 I did have to enter the new control channels as well as make the changes you suggested, changing Splinter to Custom.

Glad to be listening to Station M again ;)

Is there a schedule to reband the other cells, if so, where can I find the timing and new frequencies so I know what changes to make at that time.

The main North, South, East, Northeast sites have all completed rebanding.

You forgot to add... check mark control channel only.

I believe he was referring to the Uniden setup.

So there isn't any question or confusion, the entire San Diego - Imperial Regional Communications System has been re-banded. This includes all simulcast cells, intellirepeater sites, and conventional mutual aid systems.

It's all done, folks. At this point the only major 800MHz system in San Diego County remaining to be re-banded is the City of San Diego 800MHz system.

It is working fine without a check mark. But, if I wanted to add the checkmark, where would I find that in the EZ Scan app?

If you have the latest firmware update, I don't think you can "not" use control channel only. I lost that option when I updated.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but several of the IR sites, including most of the Imperial County sites don't seem to have been updated in the database here post-rebanding. I don't know if just deleting 15 MHz from the listed frequencies is correct in all cases.

Believe me when I say that the RCS is completely done. All of it. Imperial and San Diego counties.

The database corrections are in progress.
