San Francisco Fleet Week 2018

I saw a blurb on the news and it reminded me it was time for Fleet Week. Here is the link to the official site:

They indicate there will be a Friday show starting at noon. I know Treasure Island is a decent place to monitor the airshow without dealing with SF crowds and parking. I don't know the current status of the new development on Treasure Island, but the last time I was there a couple of years ago, the great lawn area has been transformed into a construction zone.

In the interest of public safety, Treasure Island Development Authority strongly discourages the general public from visiting Treasure Island during Fleet Week due to ongoing construction activities related to the Treasure Island Development Project. Viewing areas and parking will be extremely limited for weekday Air Show rehearsals and Weekend Fleet Week Air Shows, and roadways into parking areas will be inaccessible. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

The NOTAM for the airshow starts at 1PM tomorrow local time. So maybe there will be some earlier/unofficial practice.

I was looking up the frequencies for Fleet Week on the RR site this morning. Oddly I've seen very little in the way of aircraft the last few days. I few fly overs on Monday but that was it. I work real close to the Oakland airport and I usually see and hear quite a bit of air traffic before the events. Are they practicing someplace else this year?

Blue Angels will fly in on Thursday, practice Friday then show Saturday and Sunday if it is like the past. They have to do a practice where the show is. They can look at photos but they got to see their marks with their own eyes before doing a show.

I think you're right about that. The evidence for me was Sunday evening. ( I live south of the airport and can hear them on approach.) One of my sons works in San Francisco near AT&T Park. He came by last night and said that he could hear them practicing near him this week. I was also up on one of our building tending to a microwave link and one flew over. That was on Monday.

kma371 - compiled from different Lists , I Confirmed some of Blue Angel FREQ, not all of them.
civil air demo team usually don't change FREQ year to year like, Air Boss and Blue Angels and MILT Demo Teams do. AIR BOSS is not confirmed but, FREQ filed with FCC for Temp License.
most likely Air Boss. good targets also are OAK Airport for Blue Angels and Possibly Boeing 777.
Boeing 777 could be SF Airport as well. FOUND Lucas OIL # 121.050 AM.
USCG demo # 345.000 AM from 2018 Listing.
also, good idea to create one SEARCH bank for Civil Air.
