San Francisco PD on the BCD436HP

I have been having issues with the SFPD odd channels on my uniden BCD436HP. It is Chrystal clear sometimes but most of the time while in San Francisco, I either pick up nothing or extremely scratchy unreadable traffic. Any idea why?

The SDS works better in the city or try a smaller antenna. On their older system when I got near Candlestick Park I would disconnect the antenna from my PSR-600 I had in my truck because the signal was so strong.

ah gotcha, yeah I run a Larson antenna off of my car but I will try disconnecting it when in the city and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the info!
