Hello all,

Due to the BIO 2004 convention at Moscone Center June 6 - 9, there are protests scheduled starting at 6:30 am on June 8 (according to a poster for the event that I saw while walking to work this morning). As I work across from the Moscone Center, I am planning to bring my BC296D to the office with me to keep informed of what's happening in terms of crowd control, closed streets, etc.

I don't usually monitor SF; can anyone provide talkgroups for SFPD, SFFD, Moscone Center, etc. that I should be listening to?

I will use Butel's ARC250Pro to load SF's trunked system into my scanner.

Thanks for the help!

Check the database, it has an EXCELLENT list of TG's separated by agency. You should be able to just grab the stuff you want.

I have a strong feeling that a lot of protesters will be coming to this event.
having a scanner is an excellent way to avoid any traffic jams or other significant problems should they arise. There is nothing like a sit-down protest to cause a sudden traffic jam in any major city. :(

SF Protests, etc.

Thanks to all for your replies. I have loaded the SF talkgroups from the database into my BC296D. I was hoping that someone might have the frequencies used by the Moscone Center also.

I love to listen to SFFD. I got lost one trip I had my Pro-64 and I could here anything. I stoped by one of there stations and talked to the guys and then found out they had went trunked like a month before my trip. I fixed that problem by next football season. I have heard the SFPD on protests before, They are always protesting fur infront of Macy's(?) at Stokton and Geary when the weather is nice. It's funny to to see the protesters in leather shoes too. I said that one time to one of them who was next to a female officer and I thought the officer was never going to stop laughing at the protester. When she told the other officers they all started to look at the shoes.
