Last night at 11pm there was an announcement on San Leandro PD 1 for all units to "switch to county radio". This morning at 7am there was an announcement on ACSO Dispatch 1 for all San Leandro units to "switch back to your channel".

Going back through Broadcastify Calls, it sounds like this is a regular thing. At first, I assumed ACSO took over dispatching during that time, but it looks like there is also traffic on San Leandro PD 1 overnight. Does anyone know what's going on here?

I found this item on the San Leandro's City Council website. It appears SLPD has temporarily contracted with ACSO for overnight dispatching services while SLPD hires more dispatchers.

On the link, click the "Text" tab to view the actual agenda item, and then the "B - Alameda County Sheriff's Office Agreement for 911 Calls" attachment for the actual agreement.

Interesting. Listening more to Broadcastify Calls, the traffic on SLPD 1 is pretty sparse from 11pm-7am and is mostly units clearing calls. So I guess they're just reducing the workload on the dispatcher during those hours, as opposed to shutting down completely. It sounds like ACSO is taking their calls and handling most of the radio traffic, but there is still a dispatcher staffing SLPD 1 for call dispositions.
