I can't seem to figure out what they're running in their buses or what frequencies they are. If anybody can help, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Maybe somebody can give me some hints on how to search the ULS? I've tried everything with "San Luis Obispo" and usually they're marked with Fire Department, Police department, or there are too few units or the units are underpowered (<5W)...

frequencies for County Transit

SLO Transit is part of SLO Regional Transit authority, which includes RTA buses(CCAT, the countywide routes), South County Area Transit(SCAT), SLO Downtown Trolley, Avila Trolley, and Runabout. They lease a couple of repeaters from a company called Communication Enterprises. There are three frequencies in the system:
464.275
461.875
461.550
It is a conventional LTR (business trunked radio system). I don't know what the talkgroups are, but you should be able to hear everything by plugging in 464.275 and 461.875. The third frequency doesn't seem to be used much. 464.275 is mainly used by CCAT(RTA buses) and SCAT, and 461.875 is used by SLO Transit, SCAT, Downtown Trolley, Avila Trolley, and Runabout.

Thank you very much!

Got any other useful SLO frequencies not posted on the database?

I saw RTA was doing some kind of big changes to all RTA bus radios on Saturday, March 26, 2011. I haven't got a chance to see and hear what's changed yet.

I was able to find out more. They did alot of changes and added some channels.

Channels that I saw displayed on the radio while a driver went thru the channels:
RTA
SCAT (South County)
SCAT Supervisor
CCAT (Central Coast)
Nipomo DAR (Dial-A-Ride)
Arroyo Grande DAR (Dial-A-Ride)
Morro Bay ????

I couldn't recall what exactly the Morro Bay one was. I think there was some more DAR and some added RTA specific channels.

We are talking about the Communications Enterprises Trunking System right?

If so, we just got a submission saying "Everyone was taken off of this system as of April and it has been inactive ever since."

Are you still hearing activity on it Caboosey? I'm going to hold off on deleting anything until you guys can come to a consensus here.

Caboosey, any updates? Is the system dead? It sounds like RTA has moved over to the new system MtnBiker started the other thread on. I'll wait a few more days and if no one chimes in I'm deleting this system...
