Does anybody know the frequencies for the San Patricio County Sheriff's Department?

I have a Pro-97 scanner, and I think that San Pat. SO uses 800 mhz.

Also, does anybody know what freq. the Gregory PD uses? Their radios say San Pat. East, so they must use a talkgroup off SO.

And for the fire dept. they use an 800 MHZ radio to contact Sinton Sheriff Office, I was wondering if a Pro-97 scanner can pick up traffic off of a 800 MHZ radio.

Or is San Pat. SO using digital.

Thanks!!

San Patricio county is on an 800mhz EDACS system , the system voice is AEGIS "Digital" and Analog. The PRO-97 is completely capable of listening to any analog trunked radio system including EDACS systems , but it cant decode digital voice , so you could program the EDACS system into your PRO-97 but your not going to hear 100% of the radio traffic going on, most of the talkgroups on that system appear to be digital voice. Here's the database link to the san patricio EDACS systems frequencies and talkgroups , read your PRO-97 owners manual on how to program in an EDACS trunked radio system. Scanner Frequencies: San Patricio County Trunking System, Sinton, Texas

Is all that accurate?

Because it says Portland Volunteer Fire Dept. is digital, but I pick them up on the EDACS I have for Corpus, and Portland is paid now, so are they true, or could some that say Digital be ANALOG?

No i beleave its accurate , after looking at the Corpus Christi EDACS system and its talkgroups i did see that Portland VFD has an Analog talkgroup on that system aswell , im not sure if thier migrating over to the san pat system or what, but looking at the map , portland is right on the county line of San Patricio and Nueces county so maybe the reason for them having a talkgroup on the Corpus system is for mutual aid uses since thier so close. hope all of these helps out :D

TG 1976 on the CC EDACS is a patch to the Portland System just like the PD Patch.

Also, on the fire trucks on the 800, we have channels like Channel 1 Group 4 called FIRECOM or something like that.

I have a Pro-97 that picks up 800 Mhz, so I guess I would have it on SigStalker and have it scan the 800 Freqs. while keying up on the 800 radio untill I find the freq. Will that work? Or would there be multiple freqs. even on the fire 800's?

Thanks.

Croaker,

Signal Stalker mode is for conventional only. If you key up the fire radio with your scanner in the signal stalker mode all you will get is the frequency. The San Pat System is well documented in the DB. What you are looking for is the ANALOG talk groups. The best way to do that is to program the system in to your scanner. Then scan the system in the open mode. Any hits you get will be for the non-PROVOICE talk groups. YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO MONITOR PROVOICE TALKGROUPS ON ANY SCANER. Sometimes there will be an analog talk groups on the San Pat system. I will program the San Pat system in to my scanner and monitor it anytime I am in Portland.

Oh ok, I'll program all the 800 freqs. in San Pat. Co. and then key up, and see the #'s that come up, and I'll add them, and send them to you guys.

I will send the other freqs. I know as soon as I have time. Went to fire school this weekend, and we have had many fires daily.

Croaker,
Did you ever get that ID number? I agree that the San Pat system appears to be incorrect or at the very least, incomplete. Any news?
